Veronica Lidia Yusem-Strauss was born and raised in Mar del Plata, Argentina, a small coastal city. She learned to walk on the sand with the sounds of the ocean. Her exposure to music at home from tango to Chopin, dance school, and reading some of the works of the 1913 Nobel winner, Rabindranath Tagore-inspired her to write poems about life and the ocean since she was ten years old.
Veronica was educated in Argentina, Brazil, Israel, and the United States. She graduated from Temple University with a degree in business administration and marketing. Veronica has had extensive training and practice in ballet, movement, medical yoga, and Iyengar yoga. Her work has previously appeared in the International Library of Poetry and at the Iyengar Yoga Teacher’s Convention Program Reflection, Iynaus 2010. She currently lives in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
